Been A While

It has been quite a while since my last post. I feel the need to update my 2 followers. (If you have a g-mail and don't follow me, i'm annoyed at you.) Anyways, we recently had our Chinese 111 final and presentation. I manage to pull off a B in the class. (Start applause) I would like to thank everyone whose pictures I stole off of Facebook, and a special shout-out to Nathan for being the subject of several excellent photos that provided me with perfect ways to exercise my vocabulary and Melanie for all her picassa pictures. (Cease applause) On to more serious matters.

Movie marathons. I like them. Recently, I have had a Matrix one and Alien (scary scary). I need to do some other marathon. Any suggestions? I am planning POTC marathon some other time and don't even think about suggesting Lord of the Rings. I do enjoy TV series. O, and be prepared for whatever you suggest me to ask to borrow it. You have been warned.

College Achievements

So, the other day me and Ryan were talking. We decided that life... needs... achievements. Whenever you complete one, a little sound plays and a box pops out of nowhere with a witty title for the achievement you just accomplished. Some examples for college are....
An x in ( ) means I got it:
(x)Just woke up, huh?- Wear pajamas to class.
( )Is that legal?- Do something you thought was illegal and may be illegal but were not caught.
(x)Ow...OOOH!...OW!- Run through the hail.
(x)What'd you say about my mother!?!-Insult someone in another language.
( )Get me outta here!- Escape a stuck elevator.
(x)Don't worry! I made it!- Get to class one minute before the teacher walks in.
( )Does it really take this much change?- Use the washing machines in your dorm.
(x)I will never barf!- Eat the college sushi and survive!
( )Thank you dear GOD!!!- Get a perfect score on a daily quiz.
( )Snake in the grass- Perform a perfect prank.
(x)You're killing me smalls!- Make your teacher worry about you everyday for an entire week.

So you see, life would be more fun this way. And of course there would be more achievments if this were a true thing. Also, there would be a point value assigned to each achievement so you can decide who is truly a master of life. It makes sense to me! Anyways, I'm gonna get Ryan, Cal, and Robert help me come up with more of these and post a full list with point values and way to earn it. O and one of my WITTY titles.

So, today I realized just how much college is changing me. It may be for better or for worse. You have to decide. Because today while I was watching Heroes to get caught up.... something happened..... I said.... "I think I kinda like Sylar"......

Midterms

Today was midterms. They suck! Like, suck as in getting chased by a rabid boar kinda suck. I spend hours studying, and I still don't have the slightest idea what I was doing. It's bad... but hey! I stomped at me speaking session.

The True Nature of Irony

So, the air conditioner never works right on my entire floor..... and I just realized that the ginormous machine outside my window and that wakes me up at night IS the air conditioner. I think it's taunting me.... That is what I call irony.

College Music Tastes

So, I always wondered why it is practically all the college guys I know listen to a lot of mellow music. Like Dave Matthews, Coldplay, stuff like that. Now, after only a week I find myself choosing acoustic and quiet versions of some of my favorite songs. And I think I know why I have joined the other college guys in this choice.

It is because you are so tired from studying you need that mellowness. It helps you survive for some strange reason. For one of the first times in my life I turned off an upbeat song in favor of an acoustic one. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved acoustic music. But it's rarely been my first preference and I've actually looked up the genre in I-Tunes. The past 5 days, I have listened to so much Dave Matthews and Punk goes Acoustic and Secondhand Serenade. BTW does anyone know any bands like Making April and Secondhand Serenade?

Well, reflect upon this idea of why guys change their tastes in college.

College Schedule

Just got my schedule for the fall sememster. 17 hours. Intensive Chinese every day. 8-9 M, W, & F. 8- 9:30 T & TH. Modern European History M, W, & F 2-3. International Studies T & TH, 11- 12:15. Honors 101 M, W, & F 11- 12. Calculus of Decision Making T & TH 1-2:15. I already have a test for calculus. That is my 17 hours schedule. Draw your own conclusions.

So, I'm kinda SOL right now. I had my money situation planned out until I could get to the bank tomorrow. Up until I got pickpocketed. So not quite sure what I'm gonna do about that. Just letting everyone know.

Thoughts on Food

So, it has been a week here, and I now feel like it is time to talk about something very dear to me....Food. Yes, I know I suffer from manorexia and all, but I do enjoy a good spicy chicken sandwhich. Anyways, I have a pretty odd food plan. Example, this is about 8:45 in the morning. I'm eating 2 pop-tarts and drinking a coke, because I still don't have a minifridge for milk. Lunch, I usually break my bank and go to the Union. I know, that's stupid but I enjoy it. Especially the sushi! And dinner is never planned. I mean literally, never planned. Last night I went to Mickey D's at about 10. Dinner could be something from Wal-Mart (most likely) or fast food or I just steal someone else's when they're not looking (haven't tried that yet, but I plan to). So you see, college is basically a grab bag as far as food goes. Plus, it helps to be manorexic and you're just not that hungry. Leaves more room for studying. Sigh.....
